A few months back the question was posed:
How should the LinFam celebrate #Hamilten?
The option that received the most votes was for the FB
group to raise funds to dedicate a seat at the remodeled
Delacorte Theater in Lin-Manuel's honor.
Trisha McKethan, Deana Chaimovich, and Amy Peterson worked with
the Public Theater staff, and they created a donation portal
specially for our fundraising efforts.
So now, if you are able, we ask for your help to raise
$5,000 by September 1 for this goal. The money not only
allows us to have a plaque made honoring Lin-Manuel, but
also goes to support the Public itself. What better way to
celebrate the 10th anniversary of Hamilton than to support
the theater where it was born?
